Sales Stand Exhibition Diary
I attend a number of model railway exhibitions and 0 gauge shows each year with my sales stand. These are an ideal opportunity for customers to have a good look through kits that they have an interest in for potential future projects. This can help the customer to evaluate the quality of the kit and its suitability.
I have on display a selection of finished models that I have built from my kits and again having a look at these is useful in evaluating the potential of the kit and it is also reassuring to know that the bloke selling you the bits can actually put them together.
If when you visit the stand it appears crowded don't be put off for fear of interrupting important business. The chances are that it is only a four or five way conversation going on between regular customers. Just elbow your way through and join in because 0 gauge modellers are a friendly group.

I plan to attend with my full stand & ample stock of kits, set up inside the Engine House, hopefully alongside the class 2 Mogul 46433.

How to get to the “O gauge get together”, October 2022

By car: Car parking is extremely limited at the Engine House; we advise to arrive by Severn Valley Railway train (see below), but there is a small car park at Highley Country Park (WV16 6NU) on Station Road. Alternatively there is parking in Highley village which is 20 minutes walk away.

By Train: The Severn Valley Railway are running their current covid safe service which entails booking a seat/compartment for the duration of the day. We advise for flexibility to book on the “Adventurer” or “Explorer” services which call at Highley 4 times during the course of each day. The “Flyer” service is also planned to run on the Saturday which includes an hour stop at Highley in the morning. The “Pioneer” diesel service is also booked to run on the Sunday, which makes 3 round trips of the railway, using Class 40 ‘40106’. We would like to point out that a saving can be made by booking a compartment as opposed to individual seats.

By Public Transport: Diamond Bus operates the 125 Halesowen-Bridgnorth service on Saturdays which calls at Highley village.
